Early birthday present

These are some of the photos from an immature shoot my cousin and I did the first week I arrived in Pangasinan. She said that it was going to be her birthday present for me so I gave in.

For this shoot, we used my Sony DigiCam that my Uncle gave me.
Hair and make-up was done by my gorgeous cousin- Diana Varquez.
Clothes and styling by yours truly.

There wasn't really a "look" we're trying to go for. We just made use of what we had.

Bipolar Sunday

Can I just say that the weather last Sunday was just as bipolar as I was? One minute it's going to rain and the next it's all sunny. I have to admit that when the rain poured, it poured really hard and I got quite nervous. Of course I didn't want our exams to be postponed. That will subtract a day or two from our much awaited semestral break. This is actually my birthday month so I want it to be special. I've been trying to fill all my days with fun activities. Haha! Well anyway, I have two more subjects to review for and one more day to suffer!

Here's how I spent my Sunday reviewing for the final examinations:

First up: Lunch at Sugarhouse, Mezza

Apple Pie

I'm a huge fan of apple pies. I've tried a lot of apple pies from different pastry shops. And I could say that this one was quite disappointing. I didn't like how it was presented. But I did like the taste of it with cheese.

Buffalo Wings

This has the original buffalo wings flavor. And what made us more happy is that it tasted just right.

And my Spicy Shrimp Pasta

It's a tomato based pasta with a hint of chili. I was also disappointed with my pasta because it was too creamy. I wasn't even able to eat half of it. When I tried to reheat it the morning after it tasted better. Haha! 

Despite all the disappointments and the unpredictable weather, it was still a happy day. I had the perfect spot at Starbucks, I was able to review for my exams plus my friends and I shared a lot of laughs together. Good times. :)

I just love Sundays.  ♡

Mercato on a Saturday night

Whenever my good friend Boeng visits us here in Manila, we make it a point to eat out. Last Saturday, I decided to drag them to Mercato. I was kind of surprised to know that it was their first time there. They even tried doing some research about it. Aren't they the cutest? It's really good to know that we all share the same interest for food.

 I'm really glad they enjoyed Mercato as much as I did. You can never go wrong with good food and good company. And this is why I love my highschool friends! Sequel please :)

Ola!

Ola!

I've been sitting in front of my laptop for the past few hours trying to figure out what to write on my first blog entry. I really wanted to write something meaningful but I just couldn't grasp the idea on what to write about. So I might as well introduce myself to you guys.....

Okay, my name is Katrina Varquez Villegas. Katrina is alright, but I prefer to be called Kat. I was born on the 26th of October, 1991. You can pretty much guess my age. And yes, I am that young :P I am originally from Pangasinan. I have two brothers, Kyle and Vans and two sisters as well, Mariel and Louisa. I'm very much attached to my family as I am with God. I love my parents dearly. I couldn't imagine lasting a day without knowing how they're doing. 

I am currently taking up Pharmacy in the University of Santo Tomas. Hopefully, in the near future I will be able to continue this madness to medicine to pursue my dream of becoming a doctor. I am a self-confessed foodie. I love to eat. Who doesn't right? And Im not picky! I also love baking, travelling and taking photos. I love art. All kinds and forms of art. Painting, music, architecture even fashion.
